"John to the seven churches that are in Asia..." (Revelation 1:4)
How healthy is our church?
The "center" of Christianity had moved from Jerusalem (following the destruction of the temple, 70AD) and towards Rome. At the time John receives his apocalyptic vision on Patmos, the church was thriving in Asia (Turkey). It looked vibrant but was diseased. John is writing as a spiritual doctor to help the church back to health.
But the apocalypse wasn't just for them;
the vision is for us.
This sermon series will:
